JettyDeck stairs and landings B&B Bon Vert

B&B Bon Vert is located in Gangelt, Germany, in a characteristic former farmhouse dating from around 1900, surrounded by meadows with fruit trees and its own beehives. Guests can enjoy long summer evenings in the B&B's atmospheric courtyard, while in winter the café and covered, heated terrace offer a warm and inviting place to relax.

The name Bon Vert – literally “good green” – refers to the B&B's sustainable philosophy. Nature and the environment are central to everything hostess Juliette Kempen does. This vision fits perfectly with the choice of materials and sustainable solutions throughout the project. At the same time, Bon Vert is a playful pun on bon verre: which stands for a good glass, hospitality and enjoyment.

Unique project with specific requirements

For the B&B Bon Vert project in Gangelt, Germany, we provided a high-quality and aesthetic total solution for making the various guest rooms on the first floor accessible. Commissioned by De StaalFabriek, we supplied two staircases and two landings, with functionality, safety and appearance being key considerations. The solutions applied fit in seamlessly with the architecture and philosophy of the B&B and contribute to the comfort and experience of the guests.

Within this project, we were faced with the challenge of supplying a staircase solution that is not only visually appealing, but also fully complies with strict German regulations. In Germany, there are specific requirements for stair width, tread profile and anti-slip provisions, among other things. The stairs and landings had to comply with the guidelines of DIN 18065 (Gebäudetreppen), with a minimum stair width of 1,000 mm, a safe tread and a clearly visible and functional tread profile.

In addition, it was essential that the solution fit in with the sustainable and natural look of the B&B, without compromising on robustness, comfort and ease of maintenance.

Our contribution to B&B Bon Vert

For this project, Staco supplied two Jettydeck staircases and two Jettydeck landings, finished with wooden panels as inlays. Jettydeck combines a strong steel construction with a high-quality finish and is ideally suited to projects where sustainability and appearance come together.

The wooden inlays create a warm, natural look and match the green character of B&B BonVert. At the same time, the panels and profiles used fully comply with German standards. For example, the required stair width of 1 metre has been achieved and the steps are fitted with an integrated tread profile for extra safety. Thanks to the modular construction of Jettydeck, the stairs and landings could be efficiently produced and assembled, resulting in consistently high quality.
