Welded gratings for evacuation stairs

Staco platform gratings and stair treads can be found in multiple applications. They can also be used for evacuation ladders of administrative buildings in accordance with general requirements for the safe evacuation of people in case of fire.

Safe evacuation of people directly outside the building in case of fire is guaranteed by evacuation routes. Each building must be designed and constructed in this way. Staco Polska was asked by a Bulgarian client to produce platform gratings and stair treads for the evacuation ladder of administrative building near the center of Sofia.

Staco Polska produced 131 m² of welded gratings with mesh 34x38 mm and bearing bars 40x3 mm and 40x2 mm. The building was build by company Komfort and the steel structure was done by company SVN Engineering. The twisted crossbars lend the grating anti-slip properties, ensuring they remain accessible even during damp conditions. The treads are fitted with a safe toe edge nosing and mounting plates as standard for fastening between the stringers. You can also use anti-slip version in your project. Extra safe thanks to the serrated bearing bars that create a greater anti-slip effect.
